Friends of the Idaho Springs Public Library

Our mission is to build a partnership between the Idaho Springs Public Library and the community by assisting the library in providing information, ideas, and cultural experiences that enrich lives and strengthen the community.

Become a Friend of the Idaho Springs Public Library today!

The Friends received a generous grant from Safeway in August 2018.

Save the Date: The Friends of the Idaho Springs Public Library will be hosting their annual meeting on March 11, 2020 at 6 pm at the Idaho Springs Public Library. Dean Clark will present a program on local library and school history.

In 2019, we supported and organized the following activities:

  • Annual Meeting Presentation by Don Allan and Dean Clark
  • $1,000 contribution to the Clear Creek County Library District scholarship program
  • $1,700 contribution towards the purchase of a virtual reality system
  • Carlson Back-to-School Night free community picnic
  • Birthday books for young patrons
  • Book sale in Civic Park
  • BOOkfest (books and treats for Halloween)
  • Winterlude Concert (made possible by a grant from the Safeway/Albertsons Foundation)
